New International Airport of Heraklion traveled to India!

On 26th of March our Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Thanos Vourdas  and  Dr. Ayca Kolukisa, our Chief Strategy Officer received the warm welcome of GMR in a series of visits in the world class airports of New Delhi, Hyderabad and GOA. 
During their visit they had the chance to share visions about the new Heraklion airport and the aviation business with Mr G.M. Rao, founder Chairman of GMR Group, Mr Bommidala Chairman of Energy and International Airports as well as executives of GMR Group. In addition to this, it was a great opportunity for GMR to present the delivered Mega projects of Aerocity, the Aviation Academy, the significant Corporate Social Responsibility and the ongoing Airports’ expansion and construction projects. The latter were a great opportunity to exchange hands on experience and thoughts with Mr Petros Petrakis, construction manager of TERNA who also participated in this visit.
This spectacular experience underlined the close collaboration among the Airport Company, the Constructor and the Company shareholders. It also demonstrates the close relation between people of India and Greece and is considered as a successful landmark in the post Covid period.
